This Spring we release not only one, but two new albums with Finnish contemporary choral music. Towards the light (ICSM Records) contains music by Einojuhani Rautavaara, Lotta Wennäkoski and Paola Livorsi. Reports (BIS Records) includes nine different choral works by Perttu Haapanen.
Helsinki Chamber Choir is conducted by our artistic director Nils Schweckendiek.

In June it’s time for some Nordic cooperation when we meet our Nordic colleagues Eric Ericsons Kammarkör, Det Norske Solistkor and Ars Nova Copenhagen for the Nordic Choir Expedition.

We will perform at Tampere Vocal Music Festival 8.6. and St Magnus International Festival at the Orkney Islands 26.6., singing music by among others Sibelius, Rautavaara, Pärt and parts from Alex Freeman’s requiem Under the Arching Heavens.
