In the concluding concert of its 10th anniversary season, Chamber Choir cc FREIA joins forces with singers of the Helsinki Chamber Choir and the Ensemble Nylandia baroque orchestra. The programme focuses on choral music that over the centuries was created to celebrate coronations (Handel: Zadok the Priest), court banquets (Monteverdi: Altri canti di Marte), anniversaries and birthdays (Bach: Tönet, ihr Pauken) and funerals (Boltzius: Threnodia for the funeral of Gustav II Adolph). These Baroque gems are augmented with a dash of Renaissance and Romantic repertoire.
Chamber Choir cc FREIA is an ensemble of experienced choral singers conducted by composer, translator and choir conductor Jaakko Mäntyjärvi.
