As autumn draws to an end and winter begins in earnest, we will linger for a moment on a garden path with a concert including “I min älsklings trädgård”, a setting by Helsinki Chamber Choir’s honorary member Einojuhani Rautavaara of the poetry of Edith Södergran, as well as music by Kuula, Debussy, Ravel, Händel and Schönberg. Between the songs we will hear readings of poems on themes that illuminate the music. We wish you a warm welcome!

Soprano Sirkku Rintamäki is a versatile musician and will be familiar to audiences from HKK’s frst alto section. She is currently completing an artistic graduate degree in church music at the DocMus Department of the Sibelius Academy, as part of which she is also preparing a diploma recital as a singer.

Free admission, programme 10€

In collaboration with: The Parish of Meilahti

The lines of each section of the choir were straight and clear, as if played by instruments, and yet soft and flexible, supporting an unbroken sense of breathing. Each group sang with pure intonation and the resonance between the voices took on a life of its own, so that the whole space was filled with ringing colours.
